Delikkemer Aqueduct – An Ancient Engineering Marvel

Delikkemer is an ancient Roman-period water engineering monument. It channeled water from a spring near İslamlar neighborhood—located about 20–22 km northeast of Patara Ancient City—to the city.🏞️

The aqueduct’s construction began during the tenure of the Roman governor Vilius Flaccus (under Emperor Claudius, around AD 48–50), and was completed under his successor Eprius Marcellus (AD 50–55).⏳
