A Major Disappointment at Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort! Got Totally Ripped Off! Just got back

Folks, my trip to Changbai Mountain Huamei Resort was such a letdown that I must warn everyone about these pitfalls!

🎫 Tickets & Expenses: The entrance fee is overpriced, and many activities inside require additional charges. Some so-called "special experiences" were not only expensive but also provided terrible value – totally not worth the money, felt like throwing cash down the drain.

🚗 Transportation: The internal transport system is poorly planned. Shuttle bus wait times are ridiculously long with endless queues, wasting precious vacation time. For self-drivers, parking is inconveniently far with unclear signage – finding a spot was a real struggle.

🏠 Accommodation: The hotel rooms have outdated facilities and questionable cleanliness. Found mysterious stains on the bed and unpleasant odors in the bathroom. The front desk staff were unfriendly too – their impatience when we requested a room change really ruined the mood.

🍔 Dining: Limited food options inside the resort, mediocre taste at exorbitant prices. A basic fast-food meal costs more than double outside prices, with ingredients that weren't even fresh.

However, other attractions in Changbai Mountain are absolutely worth visiting. Here's a guide to popular spots:

- Tianchi (Heavenly Lake): Check the weather forecast beforehand – clear skies are essential for full views. Arrive early morning to avoid crowds. You can ascend via North Slope (developed with many attractions), West Slope (full lake view but requires climbing 1,442 steps), or South Slope (spectacular views but with stricter access restrictions).

- Changbai Waterfall: A magnificent wonder with powerful cascades. The boardwalk lets you experience the waterfall up close – wear anti-slip shoes as paths get icy in winter.

- Julong Hot Springs: Numerous steaming hot springs create a fairy-tale misty landscape. Try eggs boiled in thermal water – the whites turn silky while yolks become creamy, uniquely delicious.

- Green Abyss Pool: Emerald waters surrounded by lush vegetation. In autumn, crimson maple leaves reflect on the surface creating breathtaking photo opportunities.

💡 Travel Tips:

- Plan itinerary and accommodation in advance, avoiding peak seasons.

- Pack warm clothing – temperatures remain low even in summer (bring a heavy jacket).

- Consider hiring reliable local guides or joining reputable tour groups to simplify your trip.

Hope your Changbai Mountain trip avoids my mistakes so you can fully enjoy its natural wonders!
