The gold-tipped pagoda here is jaw-dropping, and the whole complex has a calm, inviting feel. It’s never packed with tourists, which means you can actually soak up the ambiance and snap some really gorgeous photos (temple etiquette: dress modestly and keep it respectful).

Travel Tip: If you’re staying in Krabi Town, grab a taxi or rent a scooter for the scenic hour-long ride to Ao Luek. Mornings are best for beating the heat and catching the temple with soft sunlight. Be sure to bring water and snacks—it’s far from the usual restaurant scene, so stock up before you hit the road.

Getting Around: Local transport is limited, so having your own ride makes life a lot easier. Try to negotiate your cab fare in advance.
