Worshiping with Father @ Bang Thong Temple

Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol, formerly known as Wat Bang Thong, is a striking landmark, boasting a 95-meter-high main pagoda. The surrounding area is decorated with decorations reminiscent of the Mahabodhi Stupa of Bodh Gaya, the site of Buddha's enlightenment in India. Surrounding the pagoda are four balconies, housing numerous Buddha images. Inside the pagoda is a large principal Buddha image, with murals depicting the life of the Buddha and beautifully decorated with floral scrollwork. This is a perfect place to take your parents on a trip.

Dress Code: Dress appropriately, modestly, and completely revealing. Shorts are prohibited. If you do wear one, the temple provides a sarong (pha sarong) for borrowing to wear inside the temple grounds.
