Pu Luong - in local language means the highest mountain peak

September and October, these two months are the time when Pu Luong enters the ripe rice season, all the terraced fields on the hillside will turn bright yellow, making Pu Luong have a rich and dreamy beauty.
Mid-summer is also a beautiful time to go to Pu Luong (although luckily you may encounter the stormy season in the North), because Pu Luong is a low-lying limestone mountain area, has many tropical forests and few residents, so the air and weather here in the middle of summer are still quite cool.
There are no direct bus routes to Pu Luong, so if you want to use public transport to get here, it will be quite difficult, if you want to go by bus, you will have to use a combination of many types of vehicles together. The most convenient way is to use personal vehicles (motorbikes, cars) departing from Hanoi. Another option for those who love exercise is to cycle from Mai Chau (you can rent a bike in Mai Chau) to explore Pu Luong and stay here for 1 night.
On the journey to the majestic peak of Pu Luong, there is a very pristine and rustic valley called Kho Muong. This is one of the most difficult highland villages of Thanh Son commune, Ba Thuoc district, but it has great potential in terms of natural conditions and cultural traditions to develop community tourism.
Kho Muong Cave is one of the caves with attractive beauty in the complex of caves discovered in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Limestone stalactites formed about 250 million years ago make up this cave. The cave is connected to an underground river system about 2.5 km long to the North and leads water from Kho Muong through Pon village in Lung Cao commune.
Son Ba Muoi is 3 highland villages of Lung Cao commune. This place is about 130 km northwest of the city center and is considered a miniature Sa Pa because of its temperate climate all year round, the average temperature is 1822 degrees Celsius, sometimes it snows in winter, and the temperature drops very low in summer nights. Hieu Village is a Thai village located on the banks of Hieu Stream originating from the top of Pu Luong. The village consists of more than a hundred houses scattered along both sides of the stream. Every time there is a beautiful rapids, the roofs of the stilt houses become thicker, creating a beautiful waterfall-stilt house scene like a watercolor painting. The entire stream from the beginning to the end of the village is only about a kilometer long but has 5 waterfalls, each waterfall is beautiful and no waterfall is the same. Therefore, the people in the village call all of those waterfalls Hieu waterfall and affectionately call that stream "Hieu streamline" instead of calling it Hieu stream as usual.
