Tad Pha Suam Waterfall

🗺📍 Bajiang Charoen Sook City, Lao PDR

🏞 Pha Suam Waterfall is one of the beautiful waterfalls in Champasak Province. It is a waterfall that flows down from a high place. The waterfall is curved in the shape of a semicircle. As for the name of the waterfall, this name has a meaning. The Lao word "Suam" means a bedroom that is reserved for daughters and sons-in-law only. Tad means a stone terrace with layers. The highlight of Tad Pha Suam Waterfall is the water flowing through large rocks that are shaped like a pillar, resembling a bridal chamber of a newlywed couple. In addition, the park also has a museum that collects ancient villages of many tribes to display for tourists to see, such as the house of Khao Kratang, which is a tribe living in the area around this waterfall, the house of the Alak tribe, the house of the Kratu tribe, the Ho Kuan, which is used as a place for the rituals of the Lawa tribe. Inside, there are many museums of the tribes to see, and the tall tower of the Lawa tribe that is used as an observation tower in the village. And the most interesting thing is the park's houses that are beautifully decorated with materials found locally. In the hill tribe village, you can also shop for fabrics woven by the tribes to buy as souvenirs for your family. There is another tourist attraction on the way to the waterfall. It is a place where many ancient villages of different tribes still have their own identity. It is called Ba Jiang Charoen Suk Park. #laos
