Hiking to an Indonesian mountain

Mount Batur is an active volcano on the Indonesian island of Bali, located at the heart of two concentric calderas north of Mount Agung. A caldera lake can be found on the south east side of the bigger 1013 km caldera. The crater's inner 7.5-kilometer-wide caldera was produced during the intrusion of the Bali (or Ubud) ignimbrite between 23,670 and 28,500 years ago. Hiking Mount Batur is a must-do in Bali for lone travelers, couples, and groups. This is a trek that is achievable, albeit challenging, but well worth it.
