Fansipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam at 3,143 meters high, nicknamed the "Roof of Indochina". It is located in Sapa, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam.
There are two ways to get up Fansipan Mountain:
1. Hiking trail
2. Cable car
Of course, we chose to take the cable car because it is the longest cable car in the world at 6,292 meters. It took about 15 minutes. The view below was terraced rice fields. After a while, it was a view of the mountains with a very natural waterfall. During this time, we sat through the fog where we couldn't see anything for several minutes. When we reached the station, the view was like riding a roller coaster until we broke through the fog and saw the temple on the top of the mountain, which was the final station before walking up to the top of Fansipan.
The view from the top, as seen in the reviews before going, was covered in fog almost all the time. But luckily, the ridge we went to was clear at times. It took a while to appreciate nature. Even though we went in the summer, because we were on a high mountain, the temperature at the top was -1oC at 9 am when the sun was blazing. But it's not too cold because the sun is strong and the UV rays are high.
