Wat Pak Nam, Phasi Charoen

The temple is located on the banks of Khlong Bangkok Yai, Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok Province. Inside the temple, it is clean, shady, cool, and peaceful, suitable for meditation. Wat Pak Nam is a third-class royal temple, a common type, built since the middle Ayutthaya period (between 2031-2172). One of the highlights of the temple is the Maha Chedi Maha Ratchamongkhon, an architectural combination of the Rattanakosin and Lanna periods. It is 80 meters high, 5 floors high, and inside there is a glass chedi containing the relics of the Lord Buddha. There is also Phra Phuttha Thammakaya Thepmongkhon, a 69-meter-high Buddha statue in meditation posture, built according to the vision of Luang Pho Sot.
