Wat Semian Nari is a temple that I pass by very often, but believe it or not, I have never had the chance to stop by. Until finally, I had a good time to go in and worship the Buddha and see the beauty inside the temple, which has a lot of history and stories.
Wat Semian Nari is a third-class royal temple, common type (Mahanikaya), Chatuchak District, Bangkok, covering an area of over 18 rai.
- Established in 1857 under the name "Wat Krarai", it is a temple of the people, located in a field, far from the capital.
- In 1870, Khlong Prem Prachakon was dug through, and in 1896, a railway passed through (2564, the Red Line electric train).
- In 1877, it received the royal charter of the boundary of the boundary.
- The builder was "Mrs. Semian Kham", a woman in the position of "Clerk of the Royal Treasury" in the Grand Palace during the reign of King Rama IV. This position was passed down to her daughter, "Thao Phanthasarnurak (add Rattanathatsanee)” during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V)
- In 1966, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road cut through the east side
- In 1979, it was named "Wat Semian Nari" to honor both of them who built and maintained the temple throughout.
