🏰 Wat Semian Nari, formerly known as Wat Krarai, was established in 1857 and received the royal charter of the boundary marker in 1877. The founder of the temple was Mr. Semian Kham, who held the position of clerk of the royal treasury. Later, it was passed down to his daughter, Ms. Thao Phanthasanurak (Pluemrattanathatsanee).
🙏In 1979, during the reign of King Rama V, the temple was given the name Wat Semian Nari to honor both of them who built and maintained the temple throughout their lives.
💥Later in 2012, King Rama IX elevated the temple to the status of a third-class royal temple, common type.
Important and interesting things in the temple include:
🏰 The old chapel enshrines Luang Pho Phutthasukhoabhirojana, a Sukhothai-style Buddha image, and Luang Pho Phutthasothon, Luang Pho Sangkachai.
🏰New Thai-style chapel, made entirely of marble, with murals. Inside the chapel is the principal Buddha image, Phra Sri Sakkaya Phuttha Wong Muni, a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, covered in gold leaf.
🙏At the back of the chapel is Luang Pho Phra Ruang Rojanarit.
