1100 HKD for authentic Japanese chef-prepared 14-course Omakase in Bangkok!

This time, I had a 14-course chef’s omakase in Bangkok, entirely run by Japanese chefs, for only a quarter of the price in Hong Kong. I’m truly moved! 😌

Thong Lor in Bangkok is a hub for Japanese people, so there are many authentic Japanese restaurants, including this one, Sushi Juban Takumi. You must book in advance on their official website. You can choose the chef’s omakase, order sushi à la carte, or select from various dishes.

This time, I tried the 4500 THB summer chef’s special omakase menu, with 14 very distinctive courses. Especially the timing and the different ways the chef presented the dishes were absolutely impressive!

The restaurant currently offers a discount: if you dine in at 9 PM, the chef’s omakase menu is 20% off. Also recommended is the 800 THB tasting set of five different specialty sakes; the yuzu sake is quite easy to drink. 😌
