- According to the history of Wat Chinorasaram Worawihan, it is a third-class royal temple. His Majesty Somdej Phra Maha Samana Chao Krom Phra Paramanuchit Chinoros built the temple in 1836 for the purpose of Buddhist activities such as meditation. He later presented it to King Rama IV of Rattanakosin, who then designated it as a royal temple.
- The principal Buddha image in the Ubosot is exquisitely beautiful. It is named "Phra Phuttha Chinnasi Woramongkol Muni," a name bestowed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX. It is a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, housed in a glass house. The lap is 3 cubits and 4 inches wide, and the height of the halo is 1 wa and 5 inches. There are two chief disciples on each side. The principal Buddha image, along with the chief disciples, was created by Somdej Phra Maha Samana Chao Krom Phra Paramanuchit Chinoros. His Royal Highness Prince Paramanuchit Chinoros (the 7th Supreme Patriarch of Rattanakosin) ordered the craftsmen to cast it.
