[Bangkok, Thailand] Wat Arun, a building representing Eastern Buddhist culture

Wat Arun, one of Bangkok's three major temples.
This temple, depicted in Yukio Mishima's novel "Temple of the Dawn," is famous for its chedi, standing on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is also a representative structure of Eastern Buddhist culture.

It is said to be named after the Hindu god Aruna, and is considered a symbol of dawn.

There are five chedis, the central Great Stupa, 75 meters high and 234 meters in circumference at its base.

From afar, it appears white, but upon closer inspection, you'll see that it is decorated with colorful mosaic tiles made of small pieces of ceramic.

Wat Arun is popular when lit up, but the white chedis shines in the first morning sun, creating a mystical and beautiful sight that is highly recommended.
