Kuala Lumpur's famous attraction #batucaves is located in the town of Batu Caves in the north of Kuala Lumpur. It also has a well-known name #batucaves.
At first glance, Batu Caves may sound like the lair of demons and monsters in Journey to the West. In fact, it is one of the famous Hindu holy places, worshiping room Jiantuo, and is the centerpiece of the Thaipusam festival in Malaysia.
Batu Caves is a limestone hill with a series of caves and temples. Outside the cave stands a golden, majestic statue of Shijantuo, and a colorful rainbow staircase leading to the cave, with a total of 272 steps.
Wild crab-eating macaques and pigeons appear from time to time along the way. Like the monkeys in Chaishan, Kaohsiung, they will grab food and sit on the steps to stare at you!
The Hindu temples are all colorful and extremely magnificent, and they go well with the rainbow stairs and peacock statues. The cave is made of limestone and is extremely hot and humid, making people sweat! Fortunately, the cave is quite ventilated, otherwise we really wouldn't be able to stay for long.
