National Museum of China: it located next to the Forbidden City. You can spend a whole day here as it is really large, with cultural relic from earlier than 3000 BC. Here, you can see how Chinese cultures developed.

Beihai Park, Jingshan Park, and Shichahai: They are all very close. And I recommend you to visit Jingshan Park during the sunset. Climb up the hill, you can see the view of Beijing.
