Lama Temple, or Fourth Prince Temple, or Yonghe Temple, is a sacred temple in Beijing, one of the Tibetan Buddhist sects. It covers an area of ​​over 60,000 square meters. People come to worship and pray for blessings. This temple was built by the imperial decree of Kangxi Emperor to be the residence of his fourth son, Yongzheng. He gave part of the palace to the Lama of the Yellow Hat Sect, a sub-sect of Tibetan Buddhism, to establish a temple. After his death, the new emperor gave the entire palace to the temple and changed the name to the “Lama Temple”.
Entrance fee is 25 yuan per person.
