The Yonghe Temple, also known as Lamas Temple, is a Tibetan Buddhist temple and monastery in downtown Beijing. If you have a few hours to spare in Beijing, take a didi to the temple. Like entering an ancient bubble inside the busy city, transporting you from Beijing to Tibet in a few steps.

From the smell of incense, gorgeous artwork in every structure, and peaceful ambience, you will feel in close connection with your soul. The guardian lion statue in the entrance will lead your way in. Take your time to admire the different architectural designs and artwork. You might see some similarities between the buildings’ paint designs in the temple and those ones in Forbidden City.
