📍 Beijing Travel Plan – Day 2
Morning
• Start at the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan), a UNESCO World Heritage site once used for ceremonies to worship the heavens and pray for bountiful crops. Its stunning blue wooden dome architecture is also a large park surrounding the temple, where locals practice tai chi and dance for exercise.
Day
• Continue to the Lama Temple (雍和宫), the largest Tibetan temple in Beijing. It's notable for its Sino-Tibetan architecture and the 18-meter-tall carved sandalwood Buddha statue, which requires a full view.
Afternoon
• Visit Xidan Joy City (西单大悦城), a large shopping center in the heart of the city. It's home to famous fashion brands, restaurants, and cafes, perfect for a relaxing shopping spree.
• Stop for a refreshing break with authentic Mala, a spicy, tongue-numbing dish. Try the Mala skewers or hot pot for the ultimate indulgence.
Evening
• Take a leisurely stroll around the mall, filled with street fashion and souvenir shops, before heading back to your accommodation.
