1. Tiananmen - Forbidden City - Jingshan: Starting from Tiananmen Square, pass through the red walls of the Forbidden City, climb to the Wanchun Pavilion on Jingshan Hill to overlook the entire Forbidden City, where golden glazed tiles shine against the autumn blue sky.
2. Zhongshan Park Ginkgo Avenue: Enter from the west gate, the ginkgo forest beside the Sheji Altar and the ancient cypress trees by the red walls create a scene like the "Beiping Jianpu" painting, while the reed marshes along the waterside corridor add a perfect autumn touch.
3. Summer Palace Rear Stream - Farming and Weaving Mural: Enter from the North Ruyi Gate, white wax trees and ginkgo trees on both sides of the Rear Stream reflect on the lake, and the reed flowers and withered lotus in the Farming and Weaving Mural area look poetic under the setting sun.
4. Wudaoying - Jianchang - Guozijian: From the artistic shops in Wudaoying to the quiet residences in Jianchang Hutong, finally feel the millennium cultural heritage under the red walls and ginkgo trees on Guozijian Street.
5. Beiluogu Lane - Shichahai: Yellow leaves of white wax trees flutter in Beiluogu Lane, pass through Lingdang Hutong to Shichahai, where the Yinding Bridge’s "Yinding Mountain View" is a limited autumn scenic spot of old Beijing.
6. Lingjing Hutong - Mongolian and Tibetan School: The Ming Dynasty ancient pagoda tree in Beijing’s widest hutong dialogues with the glass curtain wall of Xidan business district, the 400-year-old jujube tree king at the Mongolian and Tibetan School contrasts interestingly with the Republican-era Western-style building.
7. Yangmeizhu Xiejie - Liulichang: The century-old carved woodblocks of the Model Bookstore intertwine with the woodblock water-printed New Year paintings of Rongbaozhai, and at Liulichang’s "Daiyuexuan" you can customize wolf hair brushes engraved with autumn poems.
8. National Botanical Garden Lake Area: The yuanbao maple and koelreuteria outline colorful patterns along the lake shore, and the newly displayed white wax tree varieties "Qiuhuo" and "Qiuzi" are not to be missed.
9. Taoranting Park: The Lihong yuanbao maple south of Cibei Temple is fiery red in late autumn, and the 200-meter ginkgo avenue on the main road at the north gate complements the Aiwan Pavilion beautifully.
10. Baiwang Mountain Red Leaf Ridge: The hills are covered with red leaves of smoke trees and yuanbao maples, with few people and beautiful scenery; the summit offers a distant view of Beijing’s autumn colors.
11. Wucai Qianshan Waterfront Trail: In late October, tens of thousands of colorful leaves reach their peak viewing period, with torch trees, smoke trees, and ginkgo intertwining like an oil painting; after hiking, you can pick fruit at nearby orchards.
12. Shijingshan Xishan Greenway: Follow the Heishitou Valley upstream, the red leaves reflected in the Nanmachang Reservoir are picturesque, and spots like "Listening to Maples" and "Fragrant Drunkenness" are perfect for photos and check-ins.
13. Jietai Temple Loop: A moderate 3-4 km stone path where you can overlook the golden Buddha of Qianlingshan and feel the autumn Zen mood of the "Jietai Pine Waves."
14. Ditan Ginkgo Forest: Over 200 ginkgo trees aged 60 years form a golden carpet, creating a classic autumn scene of Beiping with the ancient Fangze Altar buildings.
15. Yuetan - Ritan: Ancient cypress and ginkgo trees line the red walls of Yuetan, while the ginkgo forest in Ritan Park is quiet and secluded, perfect for slow autumn appreciation.
16. Yuan Dynasty Capital City Wall Ruins: The ginkgo forest by Haitanghua Creek combined with the historical weight of the earthen city wall ruins enters its best viewing period in late October.
