[Oita Prefecture] Beppu Specialty "Beppu Hell Tour" ③ Blood Pond Hell ~ Tornado Hell 👹

Speaking of Beppu, the well-known "Beppu Hell Tour" is a must-see. 👹

Our final stop is a short trip to "Blood Pond Hell" and "Tornado Hell," both of which are located a little further away. 🌪️

≪Blood Pond Hell≫
As its name suggests, "Blood Pond Hell" is characterized by its distinctive red color.
It is a nationally designated scenic spot and the oldest natural hell on the hell tour. 🌋
The red hot mud containing iron oxide and magnesium oxide, which is formed by a natural chemical reaction under high temperatures and pressure underground, erupts from the earth's layers and deposits, turning the entire area red. 🥸
It was a truly impressive sight, a perfect example of "hell." 👀

≪Tornado Hell≫
Right next to "Blood Pond Hell," also a nationally designated scenic spot, "Tornado Hell" is famous for its spectacular geyser that erupts hot water. Though covered by a rock roof, the spectacular geyser still shoots up about 30 meters. It's truly a sight to behold! The eruptions occur every 30 to 40 minutes, so depending on when you visit, you may have to wait. However, I was able to arrive just in time for one, allowing me to see it up close.
The spectacular sight was just like a tornado raging through hell, and it was truly overwhelming! 😳
