Escape the hustle and bustle of Fukuoka city and unwind with a relaxing trip to the fascinating Beppu Jigoku Meguri (or "The Seven Hells of Beppu"). These unique natural hot springs feature vibrant colors like blue and red, steaming geysers, and bubbling mud pools. Each spring has its own distinct character, making for stunning photo opportunities. Some even offer food to try!
🔥 The 7 Unique Hells on This Trip:
1. Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell)
A turquoise blue spring resembling the sea, but with a boiling temperature of 98°C! It offers plenty of photo spots and is the most serene among the seven.
2. Oniishibozu Jigoku (Monk's Head Hell)
A bubbling mud pool that resembles a monk's head. It's quirky and perfect for those who enjoy unusual sights.
3. Kamado Jigoku (Cooking Pot Hell)
This area features multiple springs, including blue, red, and mud pools. It feels like a mineral water experiment lab, and you can even try drinking mineral water or tasting boiled eggs cooked in the hot springs.
4. Oniyama Jigoku (Crocodile Hell)
Not just a hot spring, but also home to crocodiles! The warm water helps them grow faster, though it can be a bit intimidating.
5. Shiraike Jigoku (White Pond Hell)
A milky white spring that looks like a pool of hot milk with steam rising continuously. It's peaceful and perfect for stunning photos.
6. Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell)
A deep red spring resembling blood, this is one of Beppu's signature attractions. It's awe-inspiring and feels like being on Mars.
7. Tatsumaki Jigoku (Geyser Hell)
A small but powerful spring that erupts periodically like a natural fountain. It's exciting to watch it shoot up!
