Iceland's Golden Circle Adventure: Waterfalls, Geothermal Wonders, and a Story of Perseverance

A trip to Iceland wouldn't be complete without experiencing the Golden Circle.

The first stop is the Konungshver Geyser Area, where you can witness geothermal eruptions shooting up from the earth. It truly feels like the Earth is breathing. The air is filled with sulfur, and the scene is both majestic and primal, with steam rising all around.

Next, we visited Gullfoss Waterfall. From afar, you can already hear the thunderous roar of the water. With the ice and snow not fully melted, the waterfall looks like a rushing icy river. Standing on the viewing platform, you can't help but admire the woman who once fought to protect this waterfall from being developed—Sigríður í Brattholti. Her statue stands quietly beside the falls, reminding everyone that this land was preserved through her determination.

Iceland is not just about breathtaking landscapes; it’s about soulful scenery. If you love feeling the wind, listening to the water, and sensing the pulse of the Earth, this place will leave an unforgettable mark on you.
