#borobudur is a must-see, but get ready for an adventure! This place is massive, so brace yourself for lots of walking and climbing. Since you’re a foreign tourist, you’ll need to get a special tour ticket, which will come with a cool little package (straw flip-flops included). They’re comfy, but you might still want to wear comfortable shoes for all the steps you’ll be taking around the park.
Here’s a tip: Borobudur gets hot. It’s better to go early to avoid the midday heat, but if you’re going later, load up on sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water.
The climb up to the top is worth it, but those steps are quite something indeed —be prepared for a mini workout! And keep an eye out for the local photographers who’ll try to sell you photos. If you’re not interested, just smile and say “no” politely, or they’ll keep after you with endless offers.
When you’re ready to leave, getting out can feel like a maze. There are loads of souvenir stalls on the way to the exit, and it’s super easy to lose track of where you’re going. Stick with your group or follow the signs closely, or you might find yourself accidentally looping back!
Borobudur is a blast, though, and the views and history make every step worth it. So, get your camera ready, enjoy the ancient vibes, and have fun exploring one of Indonesia’s wonders! #borobudurtemple #travel #yogyakarta #100waysoftravel
