Indonesia | Borobudur Temple

Borobudur Temple is located in Magelang, Central Java Province on Indonesia's Java Island. It is known as one of the "Four Great Ancient Monuments of the East." The temple is 123 meters wide and 42 meters high, built by the king of the Sailendra Dynasty who practiced Mahayana Buddhism. It greatly promoted the spread of Buddhism in the Java region and has undergone multiple renovations throughout history. The temple is surrounded by terraced rice fields and lush green mountains, creating a beautiful and peaceful environment. It receives 63,900 international visitors annually.
