In fact, Gamcheon Culture Village is not a newly built village for tourism. It is a village where people fled the Korean War during 1950-1953 and have been living until today. In 2009, Gamcheon Village invited artists to help restore and repaint the village with bright colors. It is therefore a point of interest and an attraction for tourists to visit here.
