Beomeosa Temple, located in Geumjeong District, Busan, is one of the three great temples of Yeongnam, along with Haeinsa Temple and Tongdosa Temple. Built by Master Uisang in the 18th year of King Munmu of Silla (678 AD), Beomeosa Temple boasts a history of over a thousand years. The name "Bomeosa Temple" originates from a legend. Beomeosa Temple is located at the foot of Geumjeong Mountain, where a golden well is found. Five-colored goldfish descended from the sky on five-colored clouds to play in the well, hence the name Geumjeong Mountain and Beomeosa Temple (meaning "celestial fish").
In the mountains of Busan, the temple nestles quietly amidst lush greenery. The gentle tolling of the bells penetrates the summer heat, flowing like water through the heart. The scorching sun blazes, yet it cannot disturb a single speck of dust. The shimmering shadows of the trees and the gentle fluttering of the monk's robes create a scene where the human world meets the essence of emptiness, a place where the heart finds peace.
