Six-day, five-night Lunar New Year trip to Chaoshan!!!

Chaoshan's Lunar New Year celebrations last the entire first lunar month, so come visit during this time!!! It's really interesting~~ Here's a guide, you're welcome.

📍Day 1: Arrive in Shantou
Transportation: High-speed rail to Shantou Station or airplane to Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport
Airport bus to downtown, or taxi for about RMB 60
Accommodation: Near Shantou Small Park or MixC
Visit: Small Park historical district, take the RMB 1 ferry at the ferry terminal to enjoy the sunset
Food: Wu Ji Beef Hot Pot, late-night snacks of white porridge and marinated raw seafood
📍Day 2: Shantou in-depth tour
Morning: Zhongshan Park, Shantou Museum of the Opening-up Port
Afternoon: Longyan South Road Food Street, try snacks like rice noodle rolls, kway chap, and licorice fruit
Evening: After a long day of walking, enjoy a Chaoshan opera performance (book in advance)
📍Day 3: Nan'ao Island tour
Transportation: Self-drive or chartered car to the island (about 1.5 hrs)
Visit: Circle the island, about 4 hrs, see various lighthouses
Food: Floating restaurant (the food isn't as good as in downtown Shantou)
📍Day 4: Chaozhou ancient city cultural tour
Transportation: After returning from Nan'ao Island, take the high-speed rail to Chaozhou
Accommodation: Near Paifang Street
Visit: Paifang Street, Guangji Gate, watch the "Dismantle the Bridge" performance at 6:30 pm, Guangji Bridge light show starts at 8:00 pm
Food: Chaozhou clay pot porridge, beef kway teow, and fish sashimi
📍Day 5：Chaozhou intangible cultural heritage experience
Morning: Kaiyuan Temple, Xu Fuma's Mansion
Afternoon: Han Yu Memorial Hall, overlooking beautiful scenery
Special activities: Yingge dance is performed almost every day in the old city during Lunar New Year (check the schedule)
📍Day 6: Return from Jieyang
Morning: Take the high-speed rail to Jieyang (about 20 mins), visit Jinxian Gate and Jieyang Xuegong
Return: Take the airport bus from Jieyang directly to Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport
