Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a temple that is a symbol of Chiang Mai Province

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan, located on Doi Suthep Mountain in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, has been a revered landmark in Chiang Mai since ancient times. It's a popular destination for tourists to pay their respects and make a pilgrimage. If you haven't visited, it's as if you haven't even been to Chiang Mai.

It's believed that paying respects and making wishes at Phra That Doi Suthep will bring success and protection from obstacles. To pay respects to the chedi, prepare rice, flowers, incense, and candles. Walk around the chedi three times, chanting the words of worship, and pray for your wishes to come true. Pay respects to the chedi in all four directions.

After paying respects to the chedi, there are other chapels outside the chedi where you can visit to pay your respects and make wishes. There's also a viewpoint offering sweeping views of Chiang Mai.
