Upakut Temple, Chiang Mai

Offering red candles is believed to bring food and money without shortage. Inside the temple, there is Phra Buakhem from Inle, Myanmar. Behind it are Thao Wessuwan, Ganesha, the ordination hall, and the pagoda. Wat Upakut is another important temple in Chiang Mai. There is a midnight alms-giving tradition on Buddhist holy days that fall on Wednesdays. The ceremony starts at 11:00 PM and the alms-giving ceremony is held at midnight. This is another important tradition that has been held continuously.
