Wat Ched Yod, Royal Monastery

Wat Ched Yod, Royal Monastery, is not far from Nimmanhaemin Road. It is a very peaceful temple with a spacious area and ample parking. The Seven-Spired Chedi is the zodiac chedi for the Year of the Snake. It is believed that those born in the Year of the Snake who come to pay respects will see their careers flourish. Near the Seven-Spired Chedi, there is a Bodhi tree. According to Lanna beliefs, placing a wooden support under its branches or trunk helps support Buddhism. Another belief is that those who offer the wooden support will receive help and support in return.
