Wat Phan Tao

Wat Phan Tao, Chiang Mai Province

This is an ancient temple located in the heart of Chiang Mai, near Wat Chedi Luang. Inside the temple is the prominent “Golden Teakwood Vihara”, which used to be the Royal Hall or the Royal Residence of the former Lanna rulers. The entire structure is made of wood, beautifully in true Lanna art style.
