Mount Lagazuoi

Mount Lagazuoi in the Dolomites of northern Italy. A cable car ascends the rocky face of the mountain, leading to the summit where the Rifugio Lagazuoi mountain hut and the top station of the cable car are located.
Location: Mount Lagazuoi is located between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Alta Badia, and is part of the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park.
Access: The top of the mountain can be reached in about three minutes by a modern cable car that departs from the Falzarego Pass. The mountain is also a popular destination for hikers and rock climbers.
Historical Significance: The mountain is known for its extensive network of tunnels and trenches from World War I. These wartime tunnels, which were built by both Italian and Austro-Hungarian troops, are now part of an open-air museum and are accessible to visitors.
