Exploring Ba Na Hills

Just 30 kilometers from Da Nang lies one of Vietnam’s most iconic landmarks — the Golden Bridge.
We traveled from downtown Da Nang by city bus to Ba Na Hills, then took the cable car up to the park. The breathtaking views of the mountain landscapes, waterfalls, and lush forests impressed me even more than the bridge or the park itself. The cable car ride, in fact, holds a Guinness World Record as the longest and highest non-stop cable car in the world.

The park is spread across two levels, and we started at the upper one. There, you’ll find a French Village with restaurants and buildings designed in European style. This area didn’t quite impress us — it felt artificial and lacked authenticity.

Later in the afternoon, we descended to the lower level, right to the Golden Bridge. Luckily, it wasn’t too crowded, so we managed to take beautiful photos. The weather was on our side, and the views of the mountains from the bridge were stunning. The lower level is designed in a traditional Vietnamese style and has a much more vibrant and authentic atmosphere. It’s a lovely place for a walk, with beautifully landscaped gardens in full bloom. It was the perfect end to the day.
