The most frustrating aspect of visiting a new city is finding a hotel. Since I've never been there, I don't know if it's convenient. Plus, there are so many motel-style hotels in Korea, making the choice even more challenging. This time in Daegu, I played it safe and chose a familiar Japanese chain hotel. I was surprised by the location.
First, let's talk about convenience. It's a two-minute walk from Bandang Station. Downstairs is a shopping district connected to the JoongAng-ro shopping street, and a convenience store is on the ground floor. Attractions like Gyesan Catholic Church and Yangnyeong City are within walking distance, and the location is convenient for restaurants, cafes, dessert shops, and shopping.
This is a complex building with a clothing store next door, and the hotel reception is upstairs. The room has a nice view, and a simple breakfast is provided, though the menu is slightly smaller than at other branches.
There are also drawbacks. Perhaps due to the building structure, the soundproofing is poor, and the slamming of doors and flushing water upstairs are quite noticeable.
