The ceiling of the Dali Ancient Town guesthouse far exceeds all expectations

Healing courtyard guesthouse in Dali Ancient Town, truly a delightful surprise! 💕 This time I stayed at "Boxin Yun She·MCA," and the ceiling of the Bai-style courtyard is exactly what it’s all about~

🏡 【Courtyard Aesthetic Overload】
Right at the entrance, I was amazed by the scenic stone engraved with "Boxin Yun She," surrounded by green plants and little yellow flowers that are so poetic. The courtyard follows the typical "three lanes and one screen wall" layout, with white walls paired with wooden structures—every snapshot looks like a healing wallpaper. My favorite moment is sitting by the courtyard tea table in the afternoon, watching the sunlight filter through the leaves, calming the whole soul 📸

📍 【Prime Location】
The guesthouse is on Wenxian Road at the South Gate of the Ancient Town, just a 3-minute walk to Renmin Road. Right outside is the popular restaurant Duan Gongzi, and the night market is super convenient to visit in the evening, yet it’s never noisy. I recommend going to the rooftop at dusk to enjoy the sunset over Cangshan Mountain—the view is stunning!

🛏️ 【Immersive Experience】
• The housekeeper contacts you in advance to confirm check-in time and helps with luggage—super thoughtful
• The room is equipped with a full set of exquisite tea utensils, plus welcome fruit and fresh flower cakes
• My favorite is the floor-to-ceiling window facing the courtyard, gently waking me up with natural light in the morning
• The bedding is so skin-friendly you’ll want to take it home! All toiletries are premium quality

🍜 【Dali on the Taste Buds】
The Yunnan rice noodles with rose sauce at breakfast are amazing! Afternoon tea includes hot milk and snacks, so relaxing to enjoy while sitting on the swing~ There’s a Bai private kitchen at the door—don’t miss the sour and spicy fish and preserved plum braised pork!

📸 【Photo Spots List】
1️⃣ Courtyard stone wall (recommend wearing a light-colored long dress)
2️⃣ Wicker hanging chair in the rooftop garden (shoot backlit silhouettes at dusk)
3️⃣ Tea room window (use foreground for composition)
4️⃣ Canopy bed in the room (pair with ethnic-style pillows)

💡 Tips:
• Better value to stay in the off-season (also remember to experience the March Street Festival)
• You can book a guided hike of Cangshan Mountain with the housekeeper
• The rooftop offers views of the Milky Way from October to December
• Tap water should be boiled before drinking; you can ask the front desk for mineral water

Who says all ancient town guesthouses are the same? Every detail at Boxin tells you what "poetic living" really means. Next time in Dali, I’ll definitely spend more time in this little courtyard~
