The Four Seasons Hotel Dalian takes you through an endless romantic journey through time and space

Undoubtedly, the Four Seasons Hotel Dalian is the newest top luxury choice in Dalian, consistently maintaining a unique standard among many hotels. Many people think the views at the Four Seasons Dalian are lacking, but I personally have a special fondness for this industrial dock style, especially since my only sea trip in Dalian was at the old Donggang Pier. The "Train Through the Four Seasons" themed design is quite creative, cleverly blending Dalian's railway history with the dual characteristics of a coastal city. Additionally, watching the sunset at the Four Seasons lobby bar offers an exquisite view.
🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
The hotel's cleanliness is excellent, with rooms cleaned neatly and tidily, making guests feel very comfortable upon check-in and able to fully enjoy their stay. The soundproofing is good, creating a quiet and private resting environment for guests without much outside disturbance.
🏘️Room Type/Layout:
This time I upgraded to a Deluxe City View Room. If you request in advance, you can get a room with a partial sea view, which is significantly larger than a standard sea view room. The room is autumn-themed, inspired by train carriage compartments, with a unique design. The walk-in closet is spacious and vintage, equipped with umbrellas for different genders, which is quite charming.
🛌Amenities/Facilities:
The room's amenities and facilities are of high quality, featuring Fumaru Mulan Summer series toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, NARUMI bone china cups, and a Kohler bathtub, all exuding refinement. The bathroom area has a mirror TV and a smart toilet, and the TV supports screen casting, which is very convenient. The fitness center has large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea view; the indoor infinity pool overlooks the cityscape of Dalian, with excellent water quality. Although the water temperature is a bit low, swimming is very comfortable. There are also hot tubs on both sides of the pool. The 41st-floor sky lobby is designed with winter elements, featuring snowflake-shaped chandeliers paired with ice crystal decorations. Nearby, a golden paddle art installation resembles rolling waves, complementing the 270° floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Dalian Port’s sea view. The lobby presents a different charm at various times of the day.
💗Other Tips:
- The location is excellent, situated in the core area of Donggang Business District, adjacent to Harbor Plaza, and close to attractions like Donggang Music Fountain Square and Oriental Venice. It’s just a five-minute walk to Zhenghuangqi, making travel very convenient.
- For dining, breakfast is served at Huihai Restaurant, a 360-degree panoramic restaurant with sea views on one side. The environment and views are great; it’s recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot. However, breakfast is not à la carte and the offerings are average. The sushi bar and kaiseki at Shiyeju offer great value and fresh ingredients. If you don’t want Japanese food, the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant Xiyuexuan, Huihai buffet, and room service are good options, though the buffet has some oil smoke. In the evening, I ordered the widely recommended Negroni at the bar. It wasn’t particularly special, but the atmosphere was very nice.
- The welcome cake was surprisingly good, though the fruit was relatively ordinary.
- Compared to the Castle and Hyatt, the Four Seasons is less dependent on good weather. When the weather is nice, you might choose the Hyatt or Castle, but the Four Seasons is a good choice when the weather is average. Also, you can plan your last stop of the trip at the Four Seasons; after the novelty fades, it’s a great place to relax and unwind.
Overall, the Four Seasons Hotel offers a first-class stay experience in Dalian. I look forward to seeing continued maintenance efforts to keep up the high-quality service and environment.
