⛩️ Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is a famous shrine in Fukuoka. I did some research and found out that it was built to honor Sugawara Michizane (the god of learning).
☺️ The shrine grounds are shady, with thousands of plum trees (I think) and a beautiful bridge connecting them to a pond. Inside the shrine, there are shops, sweet shops, and cute souvenir shops to buy to take home.
⏰ Opening Hours: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM (check carefully as they may change seasonally).
💰 Admission: Free admission to the shrine grounds.
🚉 Access: Get off the train at Dazaifu Station and walk for about 5 minutes.
❤️ This is a great place for those seeking blessings for academic or career success. It wasn't too long, about an hour. There's actually a museum at the shrine, but we didn't go in. I think there's an entrance fee. If you're interested, you can check it out!
🤩 The shrine focuses on academic success, as I saw many students there when I visited. Anyone who brings their children or grandchildren to visit If you have time, stop by and make a wish.
