I visited Shaolin Temple for the first time in late autumn, just in time to see the yellow leaves of the ancient ginkgo trees. The trees are located in front of the Hall of Heavenly Kings, and there are four of them. It is said that one of the ancient ginkgo trees was planted by Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, and has been growing for more than 1,500 years.
