🗓Itinerary:
Days 1-2: Fly from your respective locations to Xining. Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel and check in. Savor local delicacies like lamb skewers and hand-pulled mutton. Then, set off to Qinghai Lake and Chaka Salt Lake to experience the magical beauty of the "Sky Mirror."
Days 3-5: Depart from Xining and journey across Xiaochaidan Lake. Visit the apple-flavored, sparkling Chaerhan Salt Lake, and continue to Golmud. Along the way, explore the Wuji Dragon and Phoenix Palace, admire the Yuzhu Peak of the Kunlun Mountains, and venture into Hoh Xil to spot Tibetan antelopes. Afterward, travel the U-shaped highway, discover the Water Yadan and Nanbaxian Yadan landforms, and finally, be mesmerized by the vibrant colors of Dachaidan Emerald Lake.
Days 6-7: Travel from Dachaidan to Dunhuang. Hike through Hei Du Shan and uncover the secrets of the Silk Road heritage city. Experience desert camping in Dunhuang (note that camping may be unavailable) and visit the Mogao Caves to witness the splendor of a thousand years of culture. Then, head to the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring to admire the desert oasis.
Days 8-9: Depart from Dunhuang and admire the Son of the Earth sculpture. Pass through Jiayuguan and arrive at the Zhangye Danxia Landform. Experience horseback riding and archery on the Qilian Grassland (note that these activities may be unavailable), admire the Gangshika Snow Peak, and finally, return to Xining, marking the end of your delightful journey. If you travel during July or August, you can also enjoy the sea of canola flowers in Menyuan.
