Just an hour away from Guangzhou, you'll arrive at the hometown of Kungfu, a place filled with cultural heritage and a food heaven!! Definitely don't miss this place if you are in Guangzhou. Here's what you can do:
Getting There - by train
Attractions -
1. Foshan Ancient Nanfeng Kiln (南风古灶)
A place where you want to stay pretty cause it will transport you back in time with all the traditional buildings. Make sure to snap lots of beautiful pictures. There's also lots of traditional activities to do, such as pottery making, chinese calligraphy etc. Do not miss the largest kiln that is existing and using till now!
2. Qian Deng Hu (千灯湖)
A long stretch of park where there's also eating street, which I would say slightly more expensive, cause you'll be able to sit down and enjoy performance. Explore further down and you'll find a place with beautiful pavilions. Highly recommend going during the evening and staying there till night for the lighting.
3. Zumiao (祖庙)
A place where you'll visit Ip Man and lots of other Kungu Master! Make sure to stay there for the Kungfu and Lion dance performance! Soak yourself in this wonderful historical place!
4. Ling Nan Tian Di (岭南天地)
Just right beside Zumiao, it's a place of eateries and shopping. You can find lots of trendy food and items!
Food & Restaurants -
1. Porridge Hotpot 太艮堡毋米粥·粥底火锅
2. Shunde Fish Skin
3. Double Skin Milk (双皮奶)
4. Ginger Milk (姜撞奶)
Highly recommend to stay for a night!
