Oshino Hakkai, the village of clear water

Clear Water Village is a charming little village with a clear view of Mount Fuji. It's also the source of the pristine water, providing fresh air and stunning natural beauty. True to its name, the water is so clear you can see the fish. There's a food market and a minimart offering affordable souvenirs.

There's a viewing point for Fuji (an entrance fee applies).
To get there, take the train from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko Station, then transfer to Fujisan Station. Find a nearby bus stop and take the green Fujikyuko bus number 1, bound for Yamanakako and Asahigaoka. It takes about 20 minutes to get off at Oshino Iriguchi, and you'll arrive at the village.
