Revisiting Mount Fuji

If you could only see one mountain in your lifetime, it must be Mount Fuji. This conical snow-capped mountain standing between heaven and earth is not only a symbol of Japan but also a spiritual belief. Spring cherry blossoms frame it with softness, the summer clear sky makes it look majestic, autumn leaves dress it in brilliant colors, and winter snow returns it to pure sanctity.

Experiencing Mount Fuji is far more than just gazing at it from afar. What I most want to share is the "Fuji Five Lakes" area located north of the mountain. Compared to the crowded summit or the southern side, this area offers more tranquility and poetry, where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the "inverted Fuji."

I highly recommend the combination of "cycling + boating." Ride along Lake Kawaguchi, with the lake breeze on your face and Mount Fuji slowly moving in the front right of your view; then go boating on Lake Yamanaka, where the shimmering water reflects the perfect mountain silhouette upside down. At that moment, the world falls silent, leaving only awe.
