📍Kawaguchiko, Japan
Start by renting a car from Toyota Rent a Car at Narita Airport and driving to Lake Kawaguchiko. It takes about 3 hours, and each attraction is located within walking distance of each other.
1. Oishi Park 🌸
A beautiful lakeside flower garden. The flowers are planted in season. The highlight is taking photos with Mt. Fuji as the backdrop. The day we went, the sky was clear and sunny, just like in Thailand. It's open for viewing for free. There's also a souvenir shop and ice cream for sale.
Score - ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lunch Time - Stop for lunch at the famous Tempura Idaten.
2. Momiji Kairo 🍁
This tunnel of maple trees along the canal is very atmospheric. Unfortunately, when we went, the leaves hadn't turned red yet. I recommend renting a yukata from Thailand to take photos, as it offers a different atmosphere than at the temple. There are hardly any rental shops in the area, but the weather can be a bit chilly.
Score - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. Oshino Hakkai 🐠
Clear Water Village This village boasts a pond so crystal clear you can see the fish. Surrounding the village are shops selling dried fish and a small market selling food. We bought some Shine Muscat grapes, which were delicious and incredibly sweet.
