We visited Chew Jetty in Penang on a hot afternoon, with the bright blue sky stretching endlessly above us. As we strolled along the wooden planks, we could see the iconic Penang Bridge in the distance, adding to the picturesque view.
Chew Jetty, part of the historic Clan Jetties of Penang, was established in the 19th century by Chinese immigrants. It’s one of the last remaining water villages, where homes are built on stilts over the sea. Despite the heat, we enjoyed the unique charm of the jetty and the beautiful scenery surrounding it.
