Huangpu Ancient Port｜Historical Shipping Port and Ancient Village

Huangpu Ancient Port, a historical shipping port and ancient village with human fireworks, is located in Shiji Village, Haizhu District, Guangzhou. It has a long history and has witnessed the rise and fall of Guangzhou's "Maritime Silk Road".
This place was already a "place where ships gather" during the Southern Song Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, the Guangdong Customs Huangpu Registration Port was established. During the "one-port trade" period, it became a must-pass port for foreign merchant ships and trade flourished. After the Opium War, due to the opening of more ports and the silting up of rivers, the trade status declined and the customs was moved to Cheung Chau Island.
Today, after restoration and renovation, Huangpu Ancient Port has become a cultural scenic spot integrating display, leisure and other functions.

🔸Guangdong First Pass Memorial Hall
9:00-17:00, closed on Mondays. The museum displays a large number of cultural relics, pictures and materials related to the history of the ancient port.

You can see the old wooden boats docked and feel the vicissitudes of history

🔸Gothenburg statue
The statue is composed of three relief walls, with a lifelike bronze sailing ship "Gothenburg" in the middle.

🔸Overseas Chinese Building in Japan
The Japanese Building is two stories high and has an inverted "concave" shape. There are small patios on both sides. The walls and gates are built of red sandstone, reflecting the modern Japanese architectural style.
