A long-established restaurant with so-so service.

If you come to Guangzhou, you have to try Tao Tao Ju, right? And if you try Tao Tao Ju, you have to try the main branch, right? Today, my Guangzhou friend treated me to a meal at this time-honored restaurant! When I arrived at the entrance, I saw that the restaurant was huge, seemingly five or six stories high, and there were still people waiting in line at the door. My friend had gotten a number in advance, so we went straight to the fourth-floor dining hall. The dishes were served quickly. The roast goose was the most satisfying, and there were also the tangerine peel beef balls that I especially like. It was also my first time trying sweet and sour pork served on ice, and I have to say, it tasted better than the hot version. Finally, we had a serving of dry-fried beef ho fun! Perfect! But I also have to mention a few of the waiters here. Is the service in all old restaurants like this? They seemed a bit indifferent, and I had to repeat things many times. Isn't Guangzhou's service level supposed to be the national benchmark?
