Gyeongju is famous for its cherry blossoms, so it becomes more popular as a domestic travel destination in the spring. If you visit in early April, you can see the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

The most famous cherry blossom spot is Hwangryongwon. Hwangryongwon is a lodging facility made of the now-disappeared Hwangryongsa 9-story wooden pagoda. The exterior is magnificent and beautiful, and there are many cherry blossom trees around, so it's great for taking pictures together.

There is also a cherry blossom path around Woljeonggyo, so it's great for a walk.

Bulguksa is famous for cherry blossoms and double cherry blossoms. There are many things to see inside Bulguksa, but you can also see beautiful cherry blossoms at Bulguksa Park without going inside. There is also a double cherry blossom spot next to Bulguksa Park, so it's a good place to go see the double cherry blossoms when the cherry blossoms are almost over.
