[Aomori] Hachinohe City Museum of Art and Miroku Yokocho

I went to an art museum in Hachinohe city.
I love the unique art museums in Aomori prefecture.
As the birthplace of Nara Yoshitomo, there is a rich lineup of art museums that you can enjoy your trip to Aomori just by visiting them.

The Hachinohe City Museum of Art is a bit unique among them, as it was established as a space for citizens to relax.

We tend to think of art works as solemn and something that you have to look at, but here, citizens are exhibiting their works. This citizen-participation art museum is advanced and many local governments come to inspect it.

In the evening, we enjoyed the famous squid and rare local sake at Miroku Yokocho.
