Harbin is a world-renowned destination for its spectacular snow and ice festivals, which transform the city into a magical winter wonderland every year. The annual festival typically runs from late December through late February, though the grand opening ceremony is usually held around January 5th. It is most magical to visit in January, when the sculptures are fully completed and the displays are in their prime.
